Ford Explorer Performance Review

Ford Explorers got a major boost in the past year. The latest engines now have a standard V6 engine that can put out nearly 300 horsepower. In addition, drivers have complimented Ford on the handling, saying that the SUV is light, easy to maneuver around curves, and a luxury to drive.

There are three engine styles available with the Ford Explorer. The standard is a 3.5-liter V6, but you can also get a more fuel economic 2.3-liter engine. This turbocharged 4-cylinder offers 280 horsepower, but you get more miles on the highway per gallon. The highest trim available is the EcoBoost V6 engine that delivers the power from a twin-turbo engine. You'll get 365-horsepower from this trim.

The braking and handling are superb in the latest Ford Explorer. It has been given high marks in safety as well. Want to test drive the new Ford Explorer for yourself? Stop by Lithia Ford Lincoln of Grand Forks.
